SureWest to Carry NFL Network and the Innovative NFL RedZone Channel This Season

ROSEVILLE, Calif., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Who's ready to get back to football?SureWest Communications (NASDAQ: SURW) today announced an agreement with NFL Network to provide NFL RedZone for its subscribers in the greater Sacramento, California and Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri areas. Coverage begins September 8, 2011, prior to the first weekend of the 2011-12 NFL regular season.

NFL RedZone, produced by NFL Network, features live action from every NFL game on Sunday afternoons, delivering the touchdowns and most exciting moments as they happen. When a team goes inside the 20-yard line, NFL RedZone takes fans there. The channel keeps fans up-to-date in real time, switching from game to game with live check-ins, highlights and a chance to see the key plays.

NFL RedZone will be available to customers with the SureWest Sports package and who have the Digital Choice (California) or Digital Cable (Kansas City) package or higher. The NFL Red Zone will air on channel 574 (HD and SD) in California and on channel 671 (HD) or 492 (SD) in Kansas City. SureWest carries NFL Network in HD on channel 669 in Kansas City and 624 in California.
