Last Call for Early Entries to National Singing Competition - Sing!

Early Entries accepted across the United States and Puerto Rico through Sunday, May 1

CLEVELAND, April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sing!, a national vocal talent competition designed to shine the spotlight on choirs, choruses, gospel singers, glee clubs and vocal groups around the country, is accepting early entries for the competition through Sunday, May 1, 2011.

Fourteen prizes valued at up to $500 in gift cards will be awarded randomly to these early entrants. All entrants will remain eligible for the grand prize. The grand prize winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a singing, songwriting and recording session with two-time Emmy® award-winner Kevin Briody, as well as $5,000 Developers Diversified Realty MasterCard gift cards and a $20,000 donation to the charity of their choice.

Groups of 3 to 25 interested in participating can go to www.2011sing.com to complete a quick and easy online entry form and then upload an original audio performance of a song from the approved contest Song List. Each of the 12 participating shopping centers in the United States and Puerto Rico will select 10 semifinalists by online popular vote as well as two alternates identified by the shopping center. These semifinalists will perform LIVE at their selected shopping center. Each pool of 12 will be narrowed to three groups by a panel of local judges and audience text voting, followed by another round of online voting to identify 11 national finalists - one finalist representing each center in the United States and one finalist representing Puerto Rico. A final online and text vote will determine the grand-prize-winning group.
