Detroit Symphony Orchestra Awarded $300,000 Grant From the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan

DETROIT, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) was recently named the recipient of a $300,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan to support the community engagement and audience development activities of the DSO.

In addition, the Community Foundation is sponsoring the Detroit Public Television presentation of the DSO's Sunday, April 10 concert, which, along with a Saturday, April 9 performance, inaugurates the 2011 Spring Season. The concert will be broadcast at 7:30 pm April 10 on WTVS television channel 56 and broadcast live at 3 pm on WRCJ 90.9 FM. Audio and video live stream will also be available on www.dso.org and www.wrcjfm.org
