COMEDY CENTRAL Records Releases Amy Schumer's "Cutting" CD Digitally on April 26

NEW YORK, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Be on the cutting edge with Amy Schumer! COMEDY CENTRAL Records releases Amy Schumer's new CD "Cutting" digitally on Tuesday, April 26.

Fast-rising comic Schumer talks straight and dirty about sex, religion and everything else taboo. Wrong in every way, her new CD "Cutting" is a hilarious look inside the twisted mind of one of the funniest comedians working today.

Schumer can currently be seen on Madison Square Garden's national music television network, Fuse, as co-host of the weekly show "Hoppus on Music" airing Fridays at 11 pm ET. She joins host Mark Hoppus (of blink-182) to talk about everything in the world of music with a fun and humorous twist, ranging from the latest music news, visits to the biggest festivals, and much more. "Hoppus on Music" features interviews with today's hottest musical artists including John Mayer, Ozzy Osbourne, Pete Wentz, Phil Collins, Slash, and Nelly, as well as performances by Travie McCoy, Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars, Jimmy Eat World, Far East Movement and more.

Schumer's "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" special premiered last year and she also recently performed on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and "John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show." On the acting front, Schumer just completed a film opposite Parker Posey and also guest starred on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Schumer made her network debut on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and appears regularly on MTV and VH1 shows. Ellen DeGeneres was quoted as saying "Amy is one of my favorites; I expect to see big things from this girl." Schumer was selected for the 2007 Montreal "Just For Laughs Festival" in the "New Faces" category. She has appeared on NBC's "30 Rock", COMEDY CENTRAL's "Live at Gotham" and co-starred in the series "Reality Bites Back."

Other previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Mike Birbiglia's "Sleepwalk With Me," Louis C.K.'s "Hilarious," Dane Cook's "I Did My Best - Greatest Hits," Bo Burnham's "Words, Words, Words," Doug Benson's "Hypocritical Oaf," Kevin Hart's "Seriously Funny," "The Sarah Silverman Program Soundtrack Album," George Lopez' "Tall Dark and Chicano," Greg Giraldo's "Midlife Vices," Nick Swardson's "Seriously, Who Farted?," Dane Cook's "ISolated INcident," Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," and Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?" among others.
