WASHINGTON, March 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Join the Karabakh Foundation on March 28 at the historic Lincoln Theatre in a celebration of Novruz with more than 140 singers, dancers, and musicians from 11 Turkic nations! TURKSOY: Music and Dance of the Turkic World is a once-in-a-lifetime performance of entrancing dancers in elaborate costumes accompanied by traditional instruments and age-old songs of the regions. Novruz is the New Year observed at the rebirth of spring by Turkic peoples around the world. The talented performers collaborating in this joyous celebration of Novruz come from the Republics of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan, as well as the Russian Federation's Republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, and Tiva; the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic of Crimea; and the Moldovan Autonomous Region of Gagauzia.
