Homeschool Teen's Documentary to Air Nationally

Watchman Cinema's documentary The Child: America's Battle for the Next Generation, airing nationally March 7 on National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) network, delves into this question and produces astonishing answers.

Both the film and production company were created by homeschool student Grace Tate (18) and a crew of young people from Virginia to South Carolina, ranging in age from 15 to 20. Tate, a member of HSLDA's Generation Joshua, was inspired to make the film after researching the proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution to uphold parental rights. The team spent many sleep-deprived hours traveling, filming (even in the rain), and editing the documentary that viewers are calling "compelling" and an "eye-opener."

This 85-minute documentary unveils a pervasive attack against the deep bond between parent and child in American law and culture. A new wave is gathering force: the belief that parents should not have the final say in the upbringing and education of their children. This means that children can no longer trust that their interests and security will be represented by their parents, who know and love them.

The Child presents a sweeping and sobering picture of the threats against the child-parent bond in America, along with what we can do to protect this fundamental relationship.

The film airs on NRB at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT and again four hours later at 12:00 a.m. ET/9:00 p.m. PT.
