Cobb Theatres Adds IMAX Systems to Locations in Alabama and Florida

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq: IMAX) (TSX: IMX) and Cobb Theatres, the highly respected US-based exhibitor recognized nationwide for operating first-class entertainment venues, today announced an agreement to open two new IMAX® theatre systems in Cobb's Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Merritt Island, Florida theatres.

The Hollywood 16 in Tuscaloosa will debut IMAX beginning March 11, 2011, featuring Mars Needs Moms in IMAX 3D. Sucker Punch: The IMAX Experience opens at the Merritt Square 16 in Merritt Island, Florida on March 25, 2011.

Both theatres feature stadium seating in high-back rockers, an extensive food menu and Internet or Kiosk ticketing in the lobby.
