Pioneering Independent Label S-Curve Records Signs Exclusive Distribution Deal With Universal Music Distribution

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- S-Curve Records, one of music's most innovative independent music companies, has signed an exclusive U.S. distribution deal with Universal Music Distribution (UMD), the distribution division of Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD), as well as an exclusive Canadian license deal with Universal Music Canada. UMGD is the award-winning sales, marketing and distribution arm of Universal Music Group, the world's leading music company. The announcement was made today by Jim Urie, President and Chief Executive Officer of UMGD, and Steve Greenberg, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of S-Curve Records.

Since its inception in 2000, S-Curve has boasted an eclectic roster of critically-acclaimed artists, including Joss Stone, We The Kings, Fountains of Wayne, Baha Men, Tom Jones, Little Jackie, Diane Birch, Care Bears on Fire and Tinted Windows among many others.

Upcoming releases from S-Curve include the debut album from LA-based singer-songwriter Andy Grammer and new material from Care Bears on Fire and Diane Birch.
