Songwriter Diane Warren's Discovery Due Voci Scheduled to Tour; UME Recording Artists to Join Canadian Tenors for U.S. Dates
Singing Duo's Self-Titled Debut CD In Stores Now
NEW YORK, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- In the tradition of Sonny & Cher, Marvin & Tammi, The Captain & Tennille, Ike & Tina, Ashford & Simpson and others, the newest singing twosome Due Voci has been confirmed to open up for the Universal Gold selling recording artists The Canadian Tenors on a series of U.S. shows beginning September 14, 2010, in Portland, Oregon. It was announced today by their record label, Universal Music Enterprise (UME).
Due Voci was created by award-winning songwriter Diane Warren who auditioned hundreds of singers until she found the perfect blending of the two flawless voices of Kelly Levesque and Tyler Hamilton.
"Like crushed velvet on white satin," raved Diane Warren, who is one of the industry's most revered songwriters.
The new ultra-romantic pairing's reinterpretations of Warren's many classics along with some specially written Diane Warren songs--all with exquisite arrangements produced by Grammy®-winning musical craftsman Humberto Gatica (Josh Groban, Michael Buble)--resulted in the "Due Voci" CD which was released by UME on June 8. The "Diane Warren: Love Songs" PBS Special and resulting DVD, which aired and was released simultaneously with the CD, includes performances by Due Voci along with appearances by LeAnn Rimes, Fantasia, Gloria Estefan, Eric Benet and Toni Braxton, among others.
Due Voci is expected to perform Warren classics such as "Unbreak My Heart," "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing," How Do I Live," and some special surprises.
The Canadian Tenors recently wrapped up a 70 city North American tour and are eager for more. After recent performances on Oprah, at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, at the NBA & MLB All-Star games and for President Obama, The First Lady and the other world leaders at the G20 Summit in Toronto, the Tenors continue to impress audiences around the world. Their debut album, released by Decca, has spent an impressive 20 weeks at No. 1 on the classical and crossover charts. The Tenors are set to release their highly anticipated holiday album, "The Perfect Gift," on November 9, also through Decca.
