The Monkey Rock Group to Host Guns N' Roses Concert at the Rock 'N Rev Festival in Sturgis, S.D. on August 13, 2010
STURGIS, S.D., July 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Monkey Rock Group, Inc.," the Company", (BULLETIN BOARD: MKRO) today announced that it had reached agreement with Rock N' Rev Festival owner DC3 Global ("DC3"), to host their week long concert event at Sturgis, S.D. from August 9-13, 2010.
This is the first Rock N' Rev Festival held at the Sturgis Rally, and will feature headline bands Guns N' Roses, Daughtry, Godsmack, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains, along with several other bands who will be performing each night. Festival owners DC3 and HDlogix, under the terms of the agreement with Monkey Rock, will build the Rock 'N Rev Amphitheater at Monkey Rock on a 25 acre site. Guns N' Roses will make their first U.S. concert appearance in 4 years on August 13, 2010.
"We are extremely pleased to be able to step in on short notice and reach agreement to host the concert series, after the negotiations between DC3 and the Glencoe Capt. Resort fell through," said John Dent, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Monkey Rock Group, Inc. "This is an ideal opportunity to increase the visibility of the Monkey Rock brand."
Mr. Dent further stated, "Monkey Rock also has a number of branded events unrelated to the agreement with DC3, including sponsorship agreements with Lucas Oil, Budweiser, and Scootermana. Additionally Monkey Rock has sponsorship commitments from several other companies such as Boss Hoss Motorcycles, Titan Motorcycles, Cycle Solutions, and Baker DriveTrain, who will be on site as vendors. As a result, we expect the Sturgis rally to generate significant revenue and profits for the Company."
Chris Edwards, Monkey Rock's, Chief Operating Officer commented, "There aren't many places capable of hosting an event and line-up like this. We were motivated to try and help DC3 find an alternate site. With a commitment to rally goers, DC3 wanted to fulfill their commitment. We look forward to a successful Sturgis event that will lead to other events and venues with DC3"
"We are truly blessed to be able to announce the addition of GUNS N' ROSES at this historic moment in the band's history, along with DAUGHTRY, just as we relocate the Rock 'N Rev Festival to our own Amphitheater at Monkey Rock USA," said DC3's co-founder, Daniel E. Catullo III. "Monkey Rock's vision to create a nationally recognized brand among the world's top motorcycle rallies is a perfect fit for us, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome them as our partners."
Randy Alexander, public relations director for DC3 stated: "The new venue was selected with future venues in mind. The relationship has been entered with long-term vision in mind."
