PORTLAND, Ore., June 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT), a leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the entertainment and advertising industries, today announced that Jerry Humes, Rentrak's Executive Director, IT Risk Management Group, is the 101st individual in the nation to be awarded the designation of "Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control(TM)" (CRISC(TM)) by ISACA (formerly the Information Systems Audit and Control Association). The designation helps secure Rentrak's place as a protector of sensitive TV and media viewing data it collects from household viewers on an anonymous basis.

CRISC (pronounced "see-risk") is intended to recognize a wide range of professionals for their knowledge of enterprise risk and their ability to design, implement, monitor and maintain information system (IS) controls to mitigate such risk. It is designed to aid them in using this knowledge to help business enterprises accomplish their objectives by creating risk-based, efficient and effective IS controls.
