Peter Fox to Celebrate debut at the Roof Terrace Restaurant at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
WASHINGTON, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- With his new self-titled breakthrough CD, Washington, DC singer Peter Fox has burst onto the national music scene with a collection of ballads and standards meant to entertain and inspire. The disc is on sale now at www.PeterFoxMusic.net, along with many popular digital retailers. Fox will celebrate his recording debut at an exclusive release party event at the Roof Terrace Restaurant at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on June 25, 2010. Members of the media are invited to attend this spectacular celebration. The public is also welcome to attend, but must RSVP as there is limited space available; see RSVP information below.
Drawing inspiration from popular crooners such as Sinatra, Groban, Buble and many others, Fox's freshman release is both introspective and heartfelt, but also entertaining and uplifting. Tracks include well-known favorites such as The Best is Yet to Come, along with soaring ballads, such as David Friedman's I Can Hold You.
"Music is meant to inspire," said Fox. "I think my selections on this release might help people really reconnect with some of their own stories of love, loss and triumph." Fox's love for music began as a teenager, singing in senior homes with a New Jersey entertainment troupe. Over the years, his "passionate hobby" has grown into an impressive resume of local and national performances. Credits include a busy schedule of corporate and private engagements, theatrical roles such as the "Teen Angel" in a recent all-male production of Grease, and solo roles in a variety of area cabaret shows. Last year he sang in the GMCW back-up ensemble with Josh Groban and Heather Headley at President Obama's inauguration concert.
