NEW YORK, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Joe DeRosa comes to COMEDY CENTRAL Records with his debut album, "The Depression Auction," to be released digitally on June 22.
Joe DeRosa brings the piss and vinegar -- well, mostly piss as he waxes pessimistic on subjects such as drinking, depression and dealing with strangers. The festivities peak with a story about the worst gig and the worst clowns of all time. There's even a bonus track where a drunken heckler is offered some of DeRosa's particular brand of constructive "criticism," proving that one man's therapy is another man's laughter.
DeRosa performs constantly, making appearances of all kinds. Most recently he became a regular on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show, had a guest role on the IFC series "Z-Rock" and was one of twelve comedians selected to perform on HBO's stand-up comedy show "Down and Dirty with Jim Norton." DeRosa also taped a half-hour "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" special which aired in the winter of 2009. He also made is directorial debut this year with the film "Shooting Angles," which starred himself, Bill Burr, Robert Kelly and Colin Quinn.
Previously-released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: "Lewis Black: Stark Raving Black," "The Drawn Together Soundtrack Album," Aziz Ansari's "Intimate Moments for a Sensual evening," "George Lopez' "Tall Dark and Chicano," Greg Giraldo's "Midlife Vices," Nick Swardson's "Seriously, Who Farted?," Doug Benson's "Unbalanced Load," Dane Cook's "ISolated INcident," Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?," Grammy Award-winning "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance," Grammy Award-nominees' Steven Wright's "I Still Have A Pony" and George Lopez' "America's Mexican," Joe Rogan's "Shiny Happy Jihad," Christopher Titus's "5th Annual End Of The World Tour," Norm MacDonald's "Ridiculous," Demetri Martin's "These Are Jokes," "Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale," Mike Birbiglia's "My Secret Public Journal Live," D.L.
