WAPA Television's Biggest On-Air Stars to Participate in Parade!

NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- WAPA America will be the official U.S. Spanish-language television network of the 2010 National Puerto Rican Day Parade, to take place in New York City on Sunday, June 13. The Parade will be broadcast on WAPA America with commentary by renowned WAPA talent.

For the third consecutive year, WAPA Television of Puerto Rico and WAPA America, WAPA-TV's U.S. cable network arm, will participate in the Parade with a float carrying some of the network's most celebrated on-air personalities, including:

-- Sunshine Logrono, famous Puerto Rican actor and comedian and creator
of "Sunshine Remix" and the new "Risas en Combo"
-- Zuleyka Rivera, former Miss Universe and host of WAPA's reality show
competition, "Transformacion Total"
-- Normando Valentin, esteemed reporter from WAPA's "Noticentro," the
leading newscast on the Island
-- Angelique Burgos and Jaime Mayol from daytime variety show, "Pegate al
Medio Dia"
-- Noris Jofre, co-host of the live daily talk show, "Entre Nosotras"

For the first year, WAPA's float will feature well-known Puerto Rican comedy group Los Rayos Gamma. The entire group, which was founded more than four decades ago, will be present, including Sunshine Logrono, Jacobo Morales, Horacio Olivo and Silverio Perez.

Normando Valentin and Sunshine Logrono will be recognized as official Guests of Honor of the 2010 Parade.

The 2010 National Puerto Rican Day Parade will be televised live at 11:00 a.m. EDT on WAPA Television in Puerto Rico and at 7:00 p.m. EDT on WAPA America.
