Video Footage Download Plus Live Feed for The 21st Annual National Memorial Day Concert, Live on PBS

WHAT: Video footage is now available via an FTP site for the 21st annual broadcast of the NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT. The multi-award winning event, broadcast live from the U.S. Capitol, honors the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, their families at home and all those who have given their lives for our country. There are several selections of footage to choose from including:

-- a backstage conversation with co-hosts Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise
shot on-site at the U.S. Capitol;
-- General Colin Powell on the meaning of Memorial Day;
-- a selection of concert scenics; and
-- video and headshots of the performers.

The concert will be broadcast live in high definition on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Sunday, May 30, 2010 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET (check local listings).

LIVE FEED: In addition, pool members -- CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC -- are invited to use the live program feed available at Verizon's AVOC pool switch Source Port #5 by calling the Fox (pool chair) assignment desk at (202) 824-6369. The Pool chair there is Jodie Curtis. The feed will be available in HD 1080i on Saturday, May 29, 20:00 - 22:30 EDT (full dress rehearsal) and Sunday, May 30, 20:00 - 21:30 EDT (live broadcast). All media are welcome to receive the live broadcast of the concert on PBS's Schedule X service which can be found on AMC 2, C-Band Transponder 16. This service is an unencrypted analog (standard def 4:3) clear feed. The L band frequency is 1130 mghz. horizontal polarity. The audio subcarriers are L = 6.2 mghz and R= 6.8 mghz.

The maximum footage allowed for use is 3 minutes and the video credit which must be chyroned while footage is broadcast is National Memorial Day Concert/PBS.
