'The Candidate' Television and Radio Program Begins This Week

Independent candidate Ken Lanci will host radio talk show and first ever political reality television program.

CLEVELAND, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Independent candidate Ken Lanci, running for the newly created Cuyahoga County executive office, revealed two opportunities to build awareness with the public and listen to resident's concerns this week.

"The Candidate" reality television series will make its debut on Sunday, May 16 at noon on WEWS TV5 in Cleveland, and "The Candidate Hosted by Ken Lanci" radio program will begin Friday, May 14 from 5-6 p.m. on WERE 1490 AM.

"The Candidate" is a groundbreaking, politically themed reality show that takes a look at the day-to-day life of a candidate. "The Candidate Hosted by Ken Lanci" radio program will feature guests and answer questions from callers each week.

Both shows aim to introduce Lanci to the public and show the inside drama and work of campaigns that most people don't get to see.

On the day Lanci announced his candidacy, he was asked how he would run his campaign differently and get the public to trust him without the backing of a political party or name recognition. "The Candidate" programs are just one of his unique, innovative approaches, a hallmark of his previous successes.

"The people can watch every week, be educated and entertained, and find out about my views and leadership style in a way that they are comfortable," said Lanci.

"I said I would run a different kind of campaign, and this is truly unique, and unprecedented. This is an example of the bold thinking that will turn Cuyahoga County around. It also shows that we plan to do things much differently than they have been done in the past," said Lanci.

Related to the radio show, Lanci said, "I like to listen, learn and lead. My program will focus on the community and how we can improve it together. I will host pastors, job creators, community activists, and regular people, like myself, every Friday afternoon and listen to the public's ideas. After decades of talk and no action, I will listen and then act upon the good ideas of the public."
