Hollywood Celebrities to Perform at Book Expo America

Production of L. Ron Hubbard's 'Reign of the Gila Monster' Will Help Librarians and Booksellers to 'Get Caught Listening'

NEW YORK, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of an effort to boost awareness of the Get Caught Listening program sponsored by the Association of American Publishers and the Audio Publishers Association, Galaxy Press will provide a special performance of one of their Stories from the Golden Age (www.goldenagestories.com) at the Book Expo America Sound Stage featuring well known Hollywood celebrities including Bruce Boxleitner (Tron-original and new, Babylon 5) and Martin Kove (Karate Kid).

Galaxy Press president John Goodwin who is bringing several Hollywood actors stated, "By using high-end sound effects and top celebrity talent, our objective is to bring adventure to life. Our audiobooks have brought multi cast audio productions to a whole new level. What better way to demonstrate this than to bring our actors to the Book Expo America."

Performance of The Reign of the Gila Monster, a comedic western written by Hubbard during the hey-day of pulp fiction, will be performed by:

-- Bruce Boxleitner is known for movies such as Tron, How the West Was
Won, Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Babylon 5 - plus he is starring once
again in Tron, coming out later in 2010.
-- Martin Kove is known for roles in the Karate Kid, Cagney & Lacey, and
Wyatt Earp.
-- Josh Thompson is known for his celebrity impersonator performances on
the Late Show, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Morgan Freeman and
Robert DeNiro.
-- Jesse Kove is known for his roles in Bare Knuckles and soon to be
released Ballistica.


This is one of 6 Sound Stage performances which are as follows:
