NetToons Launches Real-Time Animation Platform, Empowering Fans to Make and Share Animations People Really Want to Watch

PALM DESERT, Calif., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- NetToons officially launched its new real-time animation platform at DEMO, March 22-23, 2010. The cloud-based platform and application suite allows users to create and share branded animations, called "Tooncasts." NetToons provides tools that empower users at any skill level to make pro-quality animations using pre-approved and always-secure assets from participating partner brands.

NetToons and Future US, a leading specialty website and magazine publisher, are announcing a new relationship in which Future US will use the NetToons platform to create interactive advertising programs for Future US advertisers. "NetToons delivers a creative user-generated content experience with the brand control our clients will appreciate."

NetToons will release its first retail title through a distribution arrangement signed with Smith Micro Software, Inc. This first title features pop icon Emily the Strange®. Emily's millions of fans can now animate their favorite character - selecting from thousand of pieces of Emily art and animated actions, all set to rock and GOTH soundtracks.

The company is also announcing that it will create interactive 3-screen applications. Limelight Networks has agreed to work with NetToons to deliver real-time animation interactivity within managed sessions, connecting smart-phones and CATV with the desktop.
