DNC Chairman Tim Kaine Speaks With Azteca America's 'Issues: Caras y Voces' About Healthcare

WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America television network is proud to feature Tim Kaine, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), on this week's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces," hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.

Tim Kaine began his political career in 1994 as Municipal Counsel in Richmond, Virginia. From there he moved on to Mayor of Richmond, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia and was Governor of Virginia from 2006 until January of this year. He has held the position of chairman of the DNC since January 2009.

Before entering politics, Mr. Kaine worked as a lawyer and taught legal ethics at the University of Richmond.

During the segment, Mr. Kaine strongly defends the Obama proposal for healthcare:

"It's very important for us to finish this process and reform the system.

"Families and companies, they all want to find a solution. It's a matter where there are opportunities for both parties to work together, because there are companies seeking some kind of solution and families and Latinos and many more who want solutions. They are all at the table and we all have to find a comprehensive solution."

"Issues: Caras y Voces" features top leaders that impact the Latino community through one-on-one interviews conducted by Armando Guzman. Covering the White House and the Capitol for almost two decades, Mr. Guzman is one of the most respected correspondents in Washington.
