Citibank Teams Up With Radio Disney AM 1560 New York to Host Kids Day at Citi Field

Day of Baseball Themed Fun for Children in NYC Communities

NEW YORK, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Citibank's "Our Promise to New York" events, the bank will host a Kids Day at Citi Field on Saturday, March 20 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Kids Day at Citi Field will continue Citi's tradition of making the ballpark accessible for special experiences for children and the community. "Our Promise to New York" is an effort the bank launched last fall to reinforce its strong and ongoing commitment to the five boroughs, through extended branch hours, special events and partnerships with local community groups.

Three hundred children from Boys and Girls Clubs of America and local YMCAs in the five boroughs have been invited to attend this private event. To create a "game day" atmosphere, activities will include photos with Mr. Met and private tours of Citi Field. The Radio Disney AM 1560 New York Road Crew will also be on hand to entertain kids with music, games, arts and crafts and special prizes. More than 50 Citi volunteers are also expected to attend.

"Our Promise to New York is about re-connecting with our customers and supporting our local communities in every way that we can," said Richard Schnetzer, Outer Boroughs Division Manager, Citibank. "We are thrilled to be able to host a day of fun and baseball at Citi Field for such a deserving group of kids," he continued.

"The Mets and Citi share a commitment to our hometown and this is the latest in a series of initiatives that began last year," said Dave Howard, Mets Executive Vice President, Business Operations. "Citi Field Kids was an outstanding success and this event will allow even more children to have a great day at the ballpark."

In addition to Kids Day at Citi Field, Citibank branches in the outer boroughs will host baseball themed activities on March 20, including kids' games, food, face painting, balloons, clowns and characters. Former Met Ed Kranepool will visit the Park Slope branch in Brooklyn, located at 114 7th Avenue, from 12:00-1:30pm to sign autographs. Baseball themed refreshments will include hot dogs and cracker jacks.
