Guvera to Officially Launch in the US on March 30, 2010

A-LIST MUSIC ARTISTS INCLUDING ALICE COOPER, THE BRAVERY, JIM JONES, THE DONNAS, MARIE DIGBY AND AARON LEWIS HELP KICK OFF THE REVOLUTION AT NYC PRE-LAUNCH EVENT

NEW YORK, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Guvera USA, Inc., a search website for "free but paid for" music and digital content provided by brands, announced this evening a new content partner, new licensing deals, an official March 30th launch date and the vision of delivering all forms of content with the Guvera model at the Pre-Launch event in New York City at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Claes Loberg, CEO and inventor of Guvera, and Finbar O'Hanlon, Chief Technology Officer, discussed the ability to distribute video and television content through their already existing technology by mid-year with Limelight Networks as well as streaming licensing deals with BMI, The Harry Fox Agency and SESAC. In addition, Guvera announced an agreement with digital distributor, INgrooves, a division of Isolation Network, Inc., to offer consumers free, legal downloads from their roster of chart-topping musical artists. The announcement comes on the heels of a successful Australian beta launch, now live for 60 days.

To help kick off the launch event, notable musicians including Alice Cooper, Jim Jones, The Donnas and Aaron Lewis spoke about the importance of Guvera in the age of digital piracy and how it represents a powerful new alignment of music artists, music fans and commercial brands that benefits all parties involved. The Bravery and Marie Digby took the stage to perform at the private party attended by New York entertainment influencers and brand and agency executives. A forty-five foot ice sculpture reading "Revolution" was the centerpiece of the party, representing the change of how media needs to be distributed into a future where everyone expects "free" but people still need to be paid.

With the success of Guvera's Australian beta launch, we are confident and excited about partnering with Guvera by granting access to almost 46,000 music publishers," said Michael Simon, Chief Strategic Officer of The Harry Fox Agency. "This arrangement is in line with our commitment to delivering new revenue opportunities for our represented publishers while allowing consumers legal access to Guvera's branded channels."

"We are proud to support Guvera, an ingenious model to help sustain the music industry as we fight against piracy," said Pat Collins, President/COO, SESAC.

The deal with INgrooves, a leading provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services to the global music & video community, is just the latest in content announcements for the site. INgrooves now joins Universal Music Group, EMI Music and IODA offering consumers 'free but paid for' legal downloads from their full music libraries for the March 30th US launch. Advertisers will host branded channels on Guvera.com, paying a fee when their targeted consumers download or stream content, and companies such as UMG will receive a percentage of that fee to distribute back to their publishers.

"We are delighted to officially announce our deal at the Guvera launch party," commented Robb McDaniels, Founder & CEO, INgrooves. "Guvera's business model offers the opportunity to align brands, artists and consumers, a powerful concept that we fully support in the digital community."

Dan Thompson, Head of Content of Guvera Limited, commented, "We are so pleased to have such an incredible group of musicians and content partners such as INgrooves on board for our official US launch. SESAC, The Harry Fox Agency and BMI are all leaders in the licensing community and their commitments further enhance our efforts to combat piracy with a free and legal alternative to downloading and streaming." He added, "We also see a huge future in delivering film and television content, especially after the success of the Australian beta. We hope consumers, brands, musicians and content providers will all join and progress the revolution!"
