29 Clear Channel stations Nationwide Raise Nearly $2.8 Million to Help Save the Lives of Kids Fighting Cancer and Other Deadly Diseases
MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Twenty-nine Clear Channel stations nationwide held local radiothons on February 11-12 raising $2,792,094 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Despite challenging economic times, the amount raised exceeds the total raised by these stations last year by 11 percent.

WMZQ (Washington, D.C.), WPOC (Baltimore, Md.) and WRBT (Harrisburg, Pa.) were originally scheduled to hold radiothons last week, but postponed their events due to inclement weather.
