Kimchikhan and Kimchi Festival: 'Fermentation Benefits All'

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The movie Kimchikhan is currently being fermented; in other words, it is post-production. For best taste, pick-up shots are now being added.

Kimchikhan is scheduled for release soon in 2010. Its revelation will be matched with the Los Angeles kimchi festival, where Fermented Food Forum/Future Food Forum/Best Kimchi Cook Competition/World's Special Food Exhibition will all be held together. "Fermented foods can be thought of one of gifts God has given us if we look at all the benefits they give us. Kimchi is one of them," said Kimchikhan director Steve Shin. "To spread this knowledge, Kimchi School is scheduled to open classes to the public in 2010. In collaboration with culinary school 'Mcooking,' there will be classes teaching how to make kimchi. Also, short tutorial clips on how to make 'Kimchi in 60 Seconds' will be posted on YouTube."

Continued Shin, "Since the Industrial Revolution in the year 1768, the massive food industry has been operating only to make more quick money. As the food distribution cooperation grew larger and larger, people became sicker with various types of diseases. Food preservatives and artificial additives have been making humanity ill and weak. If we can rewind back to the times before 1768, maybe more of us can be happier, free from man-made diseases."

Shin strongly believes that our humanity and environment can be much healthier just by changing our eating habits. After the movie Kimchikhan is released, he is planning to open up Kimchikhan restaurants around the world. This restaurant will help people make healthier eating choices and in the long run help change this reality where over a billion people are dying in starvation. Shin is getting steps closer to making this happen every day.

Kimchikhan will provide useful information to change eating habits and make healthier food choices. "Kitchens should be filled with non-processed, organic and fermented foods after people watch this movie," commented Shin.

Following the movie Kimchikhan, a 13-episode TV series, Two Brothers in Kimchikhan, will be produced in Hollywood.
