Cox Launches Cox in the Community Fundraising Program

Non-profit organizations can earn up to $75 per person when members sign-up for Cox services

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications, which donated about $3.5 million in in-kind and direct support to Hampton Roads non-profit organizations, has launched a new initiative that allows organizations to cash-in when its members select Cox as their cable, Internet or telephone provider.

The program is targeted to area civic leagues, sports leagues, PTAs, school organizations, as well as other community organizations. The program works as follows:

   --  Organization leaders may receive a Cox in the Community fundraising       kit with information for distribution to its members   --  When the organizations' members sign-up for new service, the       organization gets $25   --  Up to $75 per new Cox subscriber can be earned by each member for the       organization
