'The Colbert Report' Gets a New Set and Holds an Auction 'Own A Piece of Histor-Me: A Colbert Nation Liquidation' For Three Legendary Set Pieces to Benefit Several Charitable Organizations Beginning on Monday, January 18

Viewers Can Log Onto ColbertNation.com After Colbert Makes The Announcement On The Monday, January 18 Show For A Chance To Bid On The 'C' Desk, The Interview Table And The Portrait Of Stephen(s) With Proceeds To Benefit Three Different Charities

NEW YORK, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, January 4, "The Colbert Report" revealed a brand new set (designed by Jack Morton PDG) since its debut in October 2005, which accompanied a new show open (designed by Mr. Wonderful). With the new set in place, "The Colbert Report" will auction off three famous pieces from the former set to benefit three charities chosen by the host and calling it "Own A Piece of Histor-Me: A Colbert Nation Liquidation."

Viewers can log onto ColbertNation.com to place bids which will go "live" starting on Monday, January 18 after Colbert makes the announcement on that night's show for the following items: the "C" desk on Monday, January 18 (proceeds benefit the James W. Colbert Endowment); the interview table on Monday, January 25 (proceeds benefit US Speedskating); and the portrait of Stephen(s) on Monday, February 1 (proceeds benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund). The winning bid for each item will be announced on ColbertNation.com.

During the history of "The Colbert Report," the show has donated many items to raise money for various charities including DonorsChoose.org, Feeding America, Save The Children, the Yellow Ribbon Fund.
