NEW YORK, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Armani Exchange's commitment to customer connection through fashion and music, Armani Exchange has entered into an exclusive deal with iTunes® to make the A|X Music Series available for digital distribution in the global online music market.

Armani Exchange has a rich history and heritage within the dance/electronic music genres. We are constantly searching for the latest and newest in music to play in store, so we remain on the edge of the youth DJ music culture. We have a constant rotation of DJs spinning live in store in key markets (New York, Miami, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Toronto and Los Angeles).

As a natural extension for the brand, Armani Exchange packages its signature sound on music compilations spotlighting dance/electronic music with the creation of the A|X Music label. The iTunes Music Store has revolutionized the music industry for Mac® and PC users to easily discover, purchase and download legal music content. Making the A|X Music Series available on iTunes targets the A|X Generation by providing music content in the manner they now acquire it.

Music is obviously a very high-profile touch point for our customer and our approach to music is part of a broader strategy to curate a lifestyle experience for the A|X Generation. A|X MUSIC SERIES

The multi volume, A|X Music Series compilations celebrate the best of global dance and electronic music. Working closely with top name DJs, A|X creates a music environment that proves dance music can be appreciated any time of the day, not just in the nightclub. The result is an uplifting synergy of fashion and music.

The first volumes in the A|X Music Series that will be available on iTunes are:

A|X Sessions is a destination on armaniexchange.com where customers can go to listen and purchase the music playing in all Armani Exchange stores. A|X Sessions also features celebrity playlists from talent that works closely with or that are fans of the brand.

Like the monthly store music playlists, the 25-song A|X Sessions playlists are created based on a musical or seasonal collection theme (such as "Tough Love" for a retro rocker DJ mix or "Dirty Disco" for a list of sexy dance songs) and always reflect the A|X brand. In addition to developing the A|X Music Series and in-store music programming, Patrick Doddy, the Company's Vice President | Brand Director curates the monthly A|X Sessions, that are available via the Armani Exchange website. Links from the A|X Sessions page take users directly to iTunes, where each playlist is organized for purchase in the iMix section of the iTunes store.

The A|X Sessions page also includes celebrity playlists created by celebrity fans of the brand. To launch the series, Giorgio Armani has created a playlist.
