Coors Light(R) sponsored concert series to use platform to stream events to global audience
ATLANTA, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- uVuMobile(TM), Inc. (Pink Sheets: UVUM.PK), a mobility solutions and software provider, and Global Digital Syndication (GDS), a global producer and distributor of branded, celebrity based, content through new media distribution channels, announced that they are partnering with Coors Light® in Puerto Rico to stream from 4-6 additional music concerts during the first half of 2010. This concert series is part of a number of Coors Light sponsored music events. The decision to move forward was based on the highly successful launch of its first concert on October 30, 2009, with Medalla Light and Jowell y Randy. Beginning January 2010, the concerts will be broadcasted over a six month period utilizing uVuMobile's VXStream 2.0 white label streaming and ecommerce platform. The shows will be available to global consumers both live and on-demand delivered to desktops, Web enabled mobile phones and connected devices worldwide.
According to the artists, the sponsors and audiences around the world, the October 30th premier of Jowell y Randy live streamed concert was an overwhelming success. Consumers from Australia, Canada, Peru, Sweden and over 45 additional countries participated in the event - watching the 60 minute concert via their desktop, mobile phone or connected device. The actual streaming event not only included the entire Jowell y Randy concert, but also included hosted interviews with the artists by Mariana Vicente, 2010 Miss Puerto Rico, exclusive looks behind-the-scenes and reaction and commentary from the audience. Consumers were able to subscribe directly from their phone or register through Jowell Y Randy's social media sites or through ClikConcert.com. Additional revenue is expected from the syndication of the music concert through a variety of mobile and online channels.
Coors Light has agreed to help market the event through a number of advertising channels such as TV, Radio, Billboards and local print. GDS and uVuMobile will engage the various music artists (names and specific dates will be announced soon) to market the service through their Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other interactive fan sites. Both companies will also engage tier 1 mobile carriers around the world to partner on marketing the events.
"We are very excited to be streaming these Coors Light concerts," said Richard Seifert, President and CEO of uVuMobile. "Our primary objective for this first concert was to ensure that uVuMobile had created a commercially viable service that could capture and broadcast a concert worldwide to the desktop and to mobile phones for paying customers. I believe this objective was not only met but was exceeded. With longer lead times for high intensity marketing, I am confident we will see growing revenue from these events."
"We are focusing on the Latino marketplace due to the 300 million mobile users throughout Latin and South America, as well as the large population of Latino mobile users in the United States," said Jonas Hudson, President of Global Digital Syndication. "We will continue to offer a high quality service that connects artists to their audiences around the world and on a multitude of devices."
"Latino consumers are strong mobile users," said Latino Managing Director Efrain Saavedra of GDS. "We believe the response to these live streaming concerts will be tremendous."
