Current Media's Season Two Premiere of SuperNews! Continues to Skewer Pop Culture

Animated Cult Favorite Joins New Thursday Night Comedy Block Premiering November 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Current Media has launched back-to-back-to-back television comedies on its new hour-and-a-half Thursday Night Block Party premiering Nov. 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Featuring three of Current's signature shows, the comedy block kicks off with "infoMania," the no-holds-barred take on the media; followed by its movie review show, "The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current;" and ending with the much-anticipated season two premiere of the hit animated series, "SuperNews!."

An audience cult favorite on-air and online, the second season of "SuperNews!" adds fuel to Current Media's Thursday Night Block Party with new episodes poking fun at the absurdities of everyday life in a hilarious universe of animated characters.

"SuperNews!" is an animated world that dares you to see everything - from politics and cable news, to hipsters, TMZ and Google - from a brand new perspective," said Josh Faure-Brac, "SuperNews!" Creator and Executive Producer. "This isn't just a cartoon, it's a revolution!"

The Thursday night line-up will feature half-hour episodes of each show at the following times:

   -- 10:00 p.m. ET/PT - "infoMania" -- 10:30 p.m. ET/PT - "The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current" -- 11:00 p.m. ET/PT - "SuperNews!"

Current's "infoMania" is a medley of news, politics, television, pop culture, comedy, movies, magazines, books and so much more. Hosted by Conor Knighton, "infoMania" takes viewers on a fast-paced trip through an increasingly chaotic multimedia world and breaks down the latest news and views of the week into easy, digestible bites.

"The Rotten Tomatoes on Current" breaks the typical film-review mold with hosts Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox leading viewers through a sardonic half-hour of crowd-sourced commentary and movie criticism.
