Aaron Norris Joins AmericanLife TV Network(TM)

Former 'Walker Texas Ranger' Executive Producer To Oversee Programming Development at ALN

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Chris Wyatt, President and CEO of AmericanLife TV Network (ALN), announced today the hiring of acclaimed television and film director/producer Aaron Norris (Walker Texas Ranger), who will act as President of Development, overseeing all acquisitions and production as well.

"We are blessed to have Aaron join our executive team. His expertise and proven track record will help drive ALN's original programming and take the network to the next level," says Wyatt. Currently undergoing a re-development and revamping of its on-air look, Norris' contributions will compliment the vision and expansion of the network.

Best known as Executive Producer for the long-running CBS hit Walker Texas Ranger, Norris steered the show through nine seasons and 203 episodes. Directing its top-rated episodes, Norris was responsible for Walker's top ten ratings season after season.

Along with a lifetime in martial arts, Norris' action knowledge grew out of personal experience. He served in the U.S. Army, including Korea duty, commanding his own platoon. Today, Norris is actively involved in the organization known as Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). The group's mission is to provide help, hope and healing to those grieving from the death of a loved one, who bravely served in the U.S. Military. (www.TAPS.org)

After time in the service, Norris became instrumental in introducing the world to the genre appropriately called action. His early contributions were in co-writing and producing such films as Silent Rage, Lone Wolf McQuade and Invasion U.S.A. Norris quickly transitioned to directing, bringing us timeless treasured action films like Braddock: Missing in Action III, Platoon Leader, Delta Force 2, The Hitman and Hellbound. He went on to direct the much-loved films Sidekicks and Top Dog, starring Chuck Norris.

As Norris' resume and success continued to grow, he expanded into international film distribution with his company, Tanglewood Entertainment. Tanglewood successfully distributed, produced and acquired feature films, selling in the international marketplace.

In 1995, Norris moved to CBS where he catapulted the series Walker Texas Ranger into the franchise it continues to be. Under the CBS umbrella, Norris simultaneously created and directed the critically acclaimed two-hour pilot Sons of Thunder and executive produced and co-wrote The President's Man I & II, as well as Logan's War. These continue to stand as viable titles for CBS today.

Most recently, Norris produced the Sony/Screen Gems film Not Easily Broken, which released in January of 2009.

"I consider myself fortunate to work with Chris and the team at ALN. Contributing to a family-oriented network and media outlet is an honor and a culmination of my career journey that is extremely satisfying," says Norris. "I believe in the focus our network represents and the void we will fill in the industry."

Dedicated to the needs of the American family, the AmericanLife Network is focused on providing socially responsible multi-media. Norris has legitimized his commitment to ALN's vision with the recently completed in-house production of Everyday Life with Robert A. Schuller.
