'Mafia Mob Game Goes Hollywood' Casting Stoonads!

'Mafia Mob Game Goes Hollywood' Casting Stoonads!

NEW YORK, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- "STOONAD, ITALIAN FOR STUPID", is a zany competitive reality series based on the long standing popular game and social site www.MafiaMob.com. Casting has begun for the "least likely" people to be in the Mafia and a few that look the part! The show has been pitched to several networks, and one has asked for a pilot show. A WPIX talent has been signed to play the host role "The Godmother" to add a ridiculous twist to the Mafia competition. The show replaces violence with funny gags and ridiculous twists as these twenty Goomba contestants compete to possibly win a Caddy.

The production is headed by Ron Gastelu of Groove Club LLC with partners Alex Alzate of D3 Group and Director Manfred Reiff. The trio presently has the music reality series "Rock Star DJ" under review at CBS and a fighting show just signed with IMG.

www.MafiaMob.TV released its fourth "Mafia Mob Web Episode" this past summer. The response has been astounding and emails have been pouring in as members of the online site try to get 'made' and earn a part in the next episode. This led to the development of the reality series based on the game. Creator Ron Gastelu envisioned MafiaMob.com as more than just an online game and social site. "Imagine a game on the web that combines the elements of a social network and puts its own players into broadcast quality films." Gastelu adds, "the Web is where television is headed. The major networks are positioning themselves on the Internet for the future battle against millions of web television stations like MafiaMob.TV."

MafiaMob.com was launched as a Mafia game and social site in 1999 and has been heard across America on Shock Jock shows like Opie & Anthony and Howard Stern. The site launched www.MafiaMob.TV in the summer of 2008 and it created a big buzz by using game players as actors. It doesn't get more social than that! Stoonad covers a lot of wacky and zany stories over the game's 10 year history.

Casting for "Stoonad, Italian for Stupid" starts at 7pm this Friday, October 30th at the Swish Sports Bar in Lyndhurst NJ, close to where they supposedly buried Hoffa in the New Jersey Meadowlands. Email MafiaMob@aol.com for casting information.
