I Seed Films Guns for Development of Quick Draw: A True Story
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- I Seed Films announces the acquisition and development of "Quick Draw: A True Story." The story, scripted by Lark Karamardian, is based on the famous cowboy lawman, Ed Cantrell, "the fastest draw in the west" who in 1978, was brought in to "clean up" the town of Rock Springs, Wyoming after the town dug up fortune with coal which triggered a rampage of vice and corruption and ultimately found Ed indicted for the murder of his own officer.
Represented by one of the top attorneys in the country, Gerry Spence, the controversial shooting divided the State and was played out in the media in 60 minutes, and other documentaries like A & E City Confidential. For Cantrell, was it self-defense or was he a killer?
Founded by Principals Lark Karamardian and Francesca Zappitelli, I Seed Films is committed to producing quality multi-media entertainment that feeds the world. Under its umbrella of projects I Seed has several non-profits aimed at enhancing opportunities and quality of life for those that need it most.
"In the 21st century we don't have heroes that stand up for right and wrong. Ed Cantrell is that type of man," Lark Karamardian said. "Ed loved to quote Hemingway as they both were primitive men, of another time, that didn't belong in modern society."
Lark Karamardian is an alumnus of the Emmy Award Winning TV Series LA LAW, Executive Producer of "Last Call" (winner Berlin Film Festival); director/producer of the documentary "One Thing I Know" (premiered at Cannes Film Festival); writer/director/producer of "The Get" (winner of the Renaissance Award at the Hollywood Film Festival and other numerous festivals). She has two features optioned and is developing a groundbreaking TV series. She is a principal of I Seed Films.
