BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Disney Music Group's Hollywood Records has reason to celebrate this week, as they hold 3 titles in the top 15 of Billboard's Top 200 Album chart with debuts by multi-platinum selling Breaking Benjamin (Dear Agony) at # 4, Selena Gomez & The Scene (Kiss & Tell) at # 9 and the multi-platinum selling Miley Cyrus (The Time of Our Lives) at # 11. This is the third time in 2 years for Hollywood Records to hold 3 titles in the top 15.
Breaking Benjamin's Dear Agony is the follow up to their back to back platinum albums Phobia and We Are Not Alone. Selling 134,489 copies in its first week Dear Agony also held the # 1 selling album slot on iTunes where it debuted upon release September 29, 2009. In addition, Breaking Benjamin's smash hit single, "I Will Not Bow" is a top 5 hit at Rock Radio, top 10 at Alternative, and has sold over 150,000 singles to date.
Selena Gomez is the star of Disney Channel's hugely popular show "Wizards of Waverly Place," and Kiss & Tell marks her musical debut with her band The Scene with a top ten album, selling over 65,800 units. Selena Gomez & The Scene made their national television debut on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" results show on September 29. Selena caused a "scene" of her own with her first in-store signing this weekend at the Disney Store in South Coast Plaza with almost 5,000 fans in attendance.
Miley Cyrus continues to dominate the radio, singles and album charts with her Wal-Mart exclusive EP The Time of Our Lives. Miley recently launched her sold out headline tour September 14, and performed her smash hit single, "Party In The USA" on VH-1's Divas.
Hollywood Records accomplished another milestone this week with multiple # 1 chart positions on iTunes. Miley Cyrus held the # 1 spots on iTunes' Single and Video charts with "Party In The USA" while Breaking Benjamin held the # 1 album spot with Dear Agony.
