Cox Roanoke Operation Earns 'Cool Green Biz' Honor from Chamber of Commerce
ROANOKE, Va., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox has been awarded full certification as a "Cool Green Biz" by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, making Cox one of the first companies in the region to receive such recognition. This distinguished award is given to companies in Roanoke that demonstrate a commitment to being environmentally responsible by utilizing eco-friendly business practices.

Cox underwent an intense evaluation of its business practices and met 17 of 18 "critical" program standards earning the highest "green business" designation.
The "Cool Green Biz" program offers recognition to members of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce who have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability by adopting practices that reduce waste, promote clean air & water, conserve natural resources, enhance the quality of life for employees, customers, & neighbors, and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. This ongoing program is in collaboration with Roanoke Valley Cool Cities Coalition, a local non-profit environmental group which evaluates and reviews all the applications to the program.
