Borders on Liberty Street in Ann Arbor, Mich. to host event; fans everywhere can enjoy event live at www.BordersMedia.com/Ingrid

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Borders has long been an entertainment destination, hosting the hottest authors, musicians and other entertainment personalities in stores and capturing those events for millions to enjoy online. Now, Borders is providing customers with unprecedented event access with a live, interactive video Webcast of musician Ingrid Michaelson performing songs from her critically-acclaimed new album, "Everybody," Oct. 28 at 12:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. Pacific), at the downtown Ann Arbor Borders store on Liberty Street.

(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20060208/BORDERSLOGO ) The event will be streamed live at www.BordersMedia.com/Ingrid.

Michaelson fans from New Delhi to New Hampshire will be able to watch as she performs live at the store - and share that experience with others by posting their thoughts in real time using the Facebook Live Stream Box. All comments will be aggregated on the concert page connecting fans globally in an interactive, real-time musical experience. After the live event, Borders will post an edited version of the event on Borders.com as part of its "Borders Live at 01" program - as it has done for dozens of other events.

Fans on the ground in Ann Arbor who want to experience the concert in person must have a wristband in order to be guaranteed access to the performance. Michaelson will sign "Everybody" CDs for fans following the event. To gain access to the signing line, fans must have a wristband and the "Everybody" CD in hand. The store will begin distributing wristbands on a first-come, first-served basis when it opens at 9 a.m. Oct. 28.

"Borders stores are community gathering places where customers come together to enjoy enriching and engaging events around books, music and movies. With the live Webcast streaming to fans around the world, we're taking that community connection to new interactive heights," said Art Keeney, senior vice president of Marketing for Borders. "Now a Borders event previously experienced by a lucky few living in that town can be shared and enjoyed by anyone, anywhere."
