LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Some call it Generation O; others call it the new American mosaic. And now the subject of the ever-evolving American Family dynamic is being made into a feature film as Tri Destined Independent, the division of Tri Destined Studios most dedicated to empowering emerging artists and evoking creative dialogue, starts production on We Are Family.

We Are Family follows six strangers -- of different races, cultures and economic backgrounds -- who are invited to a mysterious home under false pretenses. With nothing in common, they soon find out that they are actually brothers and sisters.

We Are Family stars Monique Coleman (High School Musical Franchise), Christian Keyes (leading man of Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail and What's Done in the Dark), Chyna Layne (Sundance Grand Jury Prize-Winning Film Precious: based on the Novel Push by Sapphire), Lew Temple (Waitress, Tony Scott's Unstoppable), Rey Valentin (HBO's Generation Kill), June Kyoko Lu (Lady in the Water), RonReaco Lee (Madea Goes to Jail), Omarosa (The Apprentice), Frenchie Davis (American Idol), D. Woods (pop group Danity Kane), stand-up comedian Leslie Jones, and introducing newcomers Shoneji Loraine, Karlie Lewis, and Serein Wu.

We Are Family is directed by Trey Haley; produced by N.D. Brown, Veronica F. Nichols, and Jeff Lam; written by the Anderson Family; with Executive Producers Abe Brown and Gregory Anderson (Stomp the Yard), and Co-EP's Brian A. Roberts and Serein Wu.

Tri Destined Studios' upcoming projects include the Rogue / Universal Pictures (Relativity) project Drill Team and the Asian American / African American culture clashing comedy Why Am I Doing This. It was announced on HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel that Tri Destined acquired the rights to the life story of Bev Kearney, track coach of the University of Texas. They are set to produce this project with Barry Katz of New Wave Entertainment (NWE) and Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions.

Tri Destined Independent also recently wrapped production on the romantic comedy Perfect Combination.
