All New Concert Special Airs Nationally on PBS Beginning November 27 CD & DVD in Stores November 3rd

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Denon Classics, the U.S.'s #1 independent Classical label is announcing this week that they are set to release on CD and DVD, "LIVE IN DRESDEN: WEDDING AT THE OPERA," an all new musical production from the #1 selling Classical artist for 2008. Recorded at Dresden's beautiful Sempra Opera House, Rieu's wedding concert is a celebration filled with music and dance and showcases the sopranos Mirusia Louwerse and Carmen Monarch along with the Platinum Tenors and 40 pairs of dancers -- the famous Vienna Debutantes. Under the inspirational direction of Andre Rieu, all are accompanied by his stalwart Johann Strauss Orchestra. Rieu has long enjoyed his status as the Top Pledge Drive artist for PBS stations nationwide and this year should be no exception as "LIVE IN DRESDEN" is scheduled to anchor PBS' pledge drive efforts beginning November 27th. Denon Classics will release Andre Rieu's "LIVE IN DRESDEN: WEDDING AT THE OPERA" online and in stores on CD and DVD on November 3rd.

Andre Rieu has always dominated the charts consistently debuting at or near the top with each consecutive Denon Classics release and is currently celebrating his 30-year anniversary on stage. With the Top 5 chart debut of "Andre Rieu's Greatest Hits" this past March he continued an unbroken string of Top 5 chart debuts (which also included the #1 chart debuts of "Live at Radio City" and "The Flying Dutchman" and the #4 debut of "Live in Vienna"). A platinum selling artist in the US and Canada, Rieu's worldwide appeal is as strong as ever having recently landed at the top of Billboard Magazine's Top Classical Artist chart for 2008.

The Savoy Label Group (SLG) features not only the historic Savoy Jazz label but also the Denon, Denon Classics, SLG and 429 Records labels. Savoy Label Group is the North American unit of Columbia Music Entertainment (formerly Nippon Columbia), the oldest music company in Japan. SLG is lead by Steve Vining and CME is headed by Chairman Strauss Zelnick, founder of Zelnick Media which owns interests in and manages an array of media companies.
