CHESAPEAKE, Va., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Area business, community and political leaders have joined with Cox Communications to record a series of public service announcements designed to remind Hampton Roads residents of the value and importance of the region. Cox has dubbed this effort as a "Confidence Campaign." The campaign will begin Monday, September 7 and will be aired on various Cox Hampton Roads networks.
Gary McCollum, Cox Senior Vice President and General Manager, said, "In these times of economic concern, more than ever, I believe that our region's citizens can benefit from positive messages of optimism, encouragement, and hope. This campaign is intended to remind businesses and residents of Hampton Roads' key assets and our ongoing economic vitality."

We have gone through global economic turmoil but we can see better days ahead."
