FreeWave Technologies Hires Andrejs Rozitis to Enhance Its World-Class Engineering Team

The top provider of spread spectrum data radios adds applications engineer to continue designing and delivering industry-leading wireless IO radios

BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- FreeWave Technologies, (http://www.freewave.com/), manufacturer of the most reliable, high-performance spread spectrum and licensed radios for critical data transmission, today announced it has hired Andrejs Rozitis as an analog applications engineer. Rozitis will provide technical support, new feature development and roadmap planning, focusing primarily on FreeWave's IO family of radios.

Prior to FreeWave, Rozitis worked for Backcountry Access Inc., a firmware development company for avalanche rescue devices. He also worked for Novatel Wireless where he provided development and testing of base band circuitry for broadband data cards and USB sticks for mass production. In addition, Rozitis worked for Realfast Inc. and SMART Technologies in technical support and prototype/testing positions. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Calgary.

"Rozitis' experience in developing hardware and firmware for key products made him a great candidate for the applications engineer focusing on our IO family of radios," explained Brent McAdams, director of major accounts and product management at FreeWave. "Adding him to the team offers that unique expertise which is critical in meeting our customers' existing and future needs."

"FreeWave is a great fit for me because I can utilize my experience in software and firmware development to help enhance the IO family product line, which often are used in rugged and challenging environments," explained Rozitis. "As a new member of the product management team, I look forward to contributing to FreeWave's continued success in delivering reliable communications wherever needed."
