WHAT: Video footage is now available via an FTP site for the 29th annual broadcast of A Capitol Fourth, America's national Independence Day celebration. There are several selections of footage to choose from including:

   --  a conversation with host Jimmy Smits and Elmo shot on-site at the U.S.       Capitol;   --  a feature interview with Jimmy Smits;   --  concert scenics, and    --  an excerpt from the "1812 Overture."   

The concert will be broadcast live in high definition on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET (check local listings).

LIVE FEED: In addition, pool members -- CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC -- are invited to use the live program feed available at Verizon's AVOC pool switch Source Port # 16 by calling the ABC News Bureau (pool chair) assignment desk at (202) 222-7700. The ABC pool coordinator is Peter Doherty. The assignment desk will make the feed available to you on Friday, July 3, 20:00 - 22:30 EDT (full dress rehearsal) and Saturday, July 4, 20:00 - 21:30 EDT (live broadcast). All media are welcome to receive the concert on PBS's Schedule X which can be found on AMC 2, C-Band Transponder C16. AMC-2 is located at 101deg. W. This service is an unencrypted analog C-band clear feed. The L band frequency is 1130 MHz horizontal polarity. The audio subcarriers are L = 6.2 MHz and R= 6.8 MHz.

The maximum footage allowed for use is 3 minutes and the video credit which must be chyroned while footage is broadcast is A Capitol Fourth Concert/PBS.
