AMSTERDAM, June 16/PRNewswire/ -- One month ago, Sylvie van der Vaart was diagnosed with breast cancer in the early stages. Sylvie has since undergone a successful operation. There is no evidence of the cancer having spread to anywhere else in the body. Her oncologist has assured her that she will have a complete recovery. Starting in July, Sylvie will undergo preventive chemotherapy. Sylvie and Rafael are currently on holiday. They would appreciate being able to recover from this difficult period in private.
