NEW YORK, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Ira B. Sallen has been named as a Partner of WTW Associates, Inc. It was announced today by Warren Wasp, President, WTW Associates, Inc.

Mr. Sallen will lead the global expansion of the firm's executive search and consulting practice within the entertainment and digital media industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sallen was the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and member of the Executive Committee for Sony BMG Music Entertainment, a joint venture between Sony Corporation and Bertelsmann, AG from 2004 to 2008. During his tenure, in conjunction with the formation of the joint venture in 2004, he assisted in the merging of the two global organizations as well as oversaw the restructuring and implementation of all Human Resources and related policies and systems in 52 operating companies. Previously, Mr. Sallen oversaw the worldwide Human Resources function for BMG from 1999 to 2004. He began his tenure at BMG in 1989 as the Vice President of Human Resources for the Company's International business unit.

Before joining BMG, Mr. Sallen held various Human Resources leadership positions including Vice President of Human Resources for Clean Harbors, an environmental services company; Manager of Human Resources for Ciba Corning Diagnostics; Human Resources Development Specialist for Computervision Corporation; and Senior Management Consultant for Ernst & Young, the big eight accounting firm.

Mr. Sallen earned an M.B.A. degree from Boston University and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research in New York. He earned his B.S. in Special Education and Psychology from Bridgewater State College.
