INgrooves and The Crystal Method Partner for Digital and Physical Distribution

'DIVIDED BY NIGHT' REACHES #1 ALBUM ON AMAZON AND #1 ELECTRONIC ALBUM ON ITUNES

SAN FRANCISCO, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- INgrooves, a leading provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services to the independent music community, is handling digital and physical distribution for The Crystal Method's new album, Divided By Night, released on May 12, 2009. In its first week of release, the album hit #1 on Amazon and was the #1 electronic album on iTunes.

On the group's first album since 2004's Grammy nominated Legion of Boom, Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland are joined by a number of guest artists including Justin Warfield, Peter Hook, Emily Haines, Samantha Maloney, Meiko, Jason Lytle and LMFAO. The album's first single, "Drown in the Now," featuring Matisyahu was released on April 15. In support of Divided By Night, the band is currently on a cross country tour. The duo recently appeared at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, their first live performance in over 5 years.

"We're thrilled with our fans' reception of Divided By Night," said Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of The Crystal Method. "We've always done our own thing, making music that we love and we know our fans love. Having INgrooves handle both physical and digital distribution was an extension of our independence as artists and we're really happy with the outcome."

"The Crystal Method continues to be one of the most influential bands in music today," said Robb McDaniels, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of INgrooves. "INgrooves is thrilled to work with the duo to distribute their latest release both digitally and physically in order to maximize all marketing, promotion and sales opportunities."

In addition to The Crystal Method, INgrooves will also handle both the digital and physical distribution for new albums from electronic and dance music luminary Adam Freeland's new music project, Freeland, whose debut album, Cope will be released by INgrooves on June 9th. Also coming this summer is a new album from Latin Hip Hop artist Down aka Kilo, entitled Cholo Skate, for which INgrooves will handle digital and physical distribution.

About The Crystal Method

Heralded by the Village Voice as "one of the best live dance acts on Earth," The Crystal Method-who is Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland-have been known over the last ten-plus years for their enduring dance floor anthems ("Now Is The Time," "Keep Hope Alive"), airwave smashes ("Trip Like I Do"), a willingness to collaborate with an array of talent -including rock's vocal elite, like Scott Weiland and Filter's Richard Patrick. The duo has dominated the remix, film soundtrack, television, gaming and advertising worlds. Their platinum-status debut album Vegas (released in 1997) is one of the biggest selling electronic albums of all time, landing them in the top five of best-selling electronic acts in America. They scored the film London as well as the themes for TV shows "Bones" and "Third Watch" and were the first act to work with Nike for their running soundtrack series, but it's Divided By Night-their 2009 studio album that takes TCM to all new heights.
