Epson Brings Entertainment and Learning to Life on 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' Season Finale

LONG BEACH, Calif., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide(1), today announced that its PowerLite(R) Home Cinema 6500 UB projector was selected for the season finale of ABC's hit show, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

The Home Cinema 6500 UB, one of the latest models in Epson's award-winning line of 3LCD 1080p front projectors, was incorporated into the build of a new community center known as the "Library" in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood in Indianapolis, IN. The Library is part of the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" build that also includes a home for a single father, Bernard McFarland, and his three sons. McFarland has been extremely involved in the community, starting a program called "Pack House 2000," dedicated to helping exercise the minds and expand the dreams of youngsters in need through reading groups and field trips to libraries, museums and cultural events.

The high-performance, high-definition Home Cinema 6500 UB is one of the technology tools used to help expand those dreams. It was installed in the Library with a motorized projection screen and an integrated computer system. The set up will enable McFarland to host group sessions and learning events for the kids involved in the Pack House 2000 community program. Epson's projector was recommended for use in the Library by TriPhase Technologies, located in Carmel, IN and a sponsor of the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" build, due to its image quality, ease-of-use and dependability.
