Company, Union, City to Mark Occasion With April 8 Ribbon-Cutting at State Road Work Center
PHILADELPHIA - At an April 8 ribbon-cutting ceremony with 100 Verizon construction, installation and maintenance employees, officials from the company, union and the city will commemorate the start of construction of Verizon's all-fiber-optic network in Philadelphia. Verizon construction teams based at the company's State Road work center will begin building the advanced network that will deliver FiOS TV - and long-sought cable TV choice - to Philadelphia residents. Verizon has committed to providing its all-fiber-optic FiOS TV service throughout Philadelphia within seven years.
