With a New Single and a Return Visit to the Charts, Connie Talbot Keeps the Momentum Going 'I Will Always Love You' is the Latest From the 8-Year-Old Singing Star

ALBANY, N.Y., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly six months after the release of her debut album in the United States, 8-year-old British singing sensation Connie Talbot returns with a brand new single just as her album, Over the Rainbow, returns to the Billboard charts! The album stands at #16 on the Kids Audio chart and at #32 on Top Heatseekers in the industry trade magazine's latest issue. On April 7th, Connie releases a double A-sided single (AAO Music/Reality Records) (http://www.aaomusic.com/) featuring her dynamic interpretation of the classic "I Will Always Love You" and the newly re-vocaled "You Raise Me Up."

Written and first recorded by country music legend Dolly Parton, "I Will Always Love You" is most often associated with Whitney Houston, who had a smash hit with it in the 1990s. Now, Connie Talbot is making it all her own, and the song has deep personal meaning to the young singer. Among those who loved Houston's rendition was Connie's late grandmother. They sang the song together when Connie was just a baby, and it is to her beloved grandmother (whom Connie called "Nan") that this remarkable talent dedicates her recording of this timeless tune.

The release of "I Will Always Love You" is the latest milestone in the storybook career of Connie Talbot. Having already conquered the worlds of radio, retail and video - she has now racked up more than 60 million YouTube hits, making her the #19 all-time most viewed on the site.

"Her recent success can be attributed in part to social networking sites and her sales increases are to a caring audience," says AAO Music head Peter G. Kuys. "Her talent, purity, innocence and humility are bringing joy to people in an uncertain world."

"It is very rare a talent like Connie Talbot is found in this world," says Trey Bowles, VP of Marketing at tangle.com (http://www.tangle.com/), a family- and faith-oriented social networking site where Connie is a favorite. "It has been wonderful to see how our audience has embraced young Connie and made her 'I Will Always Love You' video one of the most viewed in the past few months. We look forward to seeing Connie's career grow and to follow her as she brings hope and inspiration to millions of people all over the world."

In June, Connie will become the subject of a highly anticipated new Nintendo Wii game, which will allow her fans to sing along with the music on the mega-successful debut album.

Titled Connie Talbot: Over the Rainbow, the video game features 15 tracks, among them "Three Little Birds," Connie's 2008 chart-topping cover version of a well-known Bob Marley tune, and the classic Louis Armstrong ballad "What a Wonderful World." Players can sing solo in karaoke mode or with friends and family members for some multiplayer fun.

Connie Talbot first came to the attention of the world in 2007 at the age of 6, when she won the hearts of U.K. telly viewers as a contestant on the hit program Britain's Got Talent. The usually irascible Simon Cowell heaped praises on the then-gap-toothed tot. Now, Connie has amassed five gold and platinum albums to her credit, along with two Guinness World Book of Records entries. This year will also see the U.S. release of Connie's Christmas album, filled with her heartfelt renditions of traditional classics.
