Auto loans 60 days past due rise by 17 percent
Car officials are seeing a 17 percent increase in automotive loans that are 60 days past due. During its quarterly State of the Auto Finance Market webinar, Experian Automotive provided a comprehensive view of the automotive lending market from fourth quarter 2007 through fourth quarter 2008. Currently, 1.04 percent of all automotive loans are 60 days past due, compared with 0.89 percent in the fourth quarter of 2007. Thirty-day delinquencies rose 9.87 percent over the same period. Combined, 30- and 60-day delinquencies accounted for nearly $29 billion in at-risk loans.

7,000-pound bronze figure of Mister Rogers arrives in Pittsburgh
A new riverfront destination for children and families will open early this summer in Pittsburgh. The centerpiece of "Tribute to Children" is a 7,000-pound statue of Rogers seated in a familiar position, tying his shoe. The project was initiated by Colcom Foundation's late founder, Cordelia S. National Walk to Work Day is April 3
Friday, April 3 is National Walk to Work Day. The sixth-annual event encourages Americans to turn their commute into an exercise opportunity. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the prevalence of obesity among adults age 20-74 more than doubled between 1980 and 2006, soaring from 15 percent to nearly 33 percent. Meanwhile, study after study indicates that moderate exercise for 30 minutes per day reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes.
