INgrooves Appoints Ben Kline to Vice President of Sales & Marketing

SAN FRANCISCO, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- INgrooves, a leading provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services to the independent music community, has named Ben Kline to the position of Vice President, Sales & Marketing. The announcement was made today by Robb McDaniels, CEO & Founder, INgrooves, to whom Kline will report. Kline will be located at the company's San Francisco headquarters.

In this new role, Kline will focus on leading sales and marketing efforts on behalf of INgrooves. Previously, Kline served as Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and New Media for Universal Music Group Nashville, where he oversaw the label group's sales activities while also managing marketing and new media efforts for artists such as Sugarland, Vince Gill and George Strait, among others.

Formally, Kline began his tenure in the music industry at PolyGram Group Distribution, where he held numerous positions, eventually becoming director of East Coast Sales for Island Records. He later segued to Nashville, joining Mercury Records as National Sales Director. He quickly moved up the ranks, eventually earning his VP stripes. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in the success of such multi-platinum selling artists as Shania Twain, U2 and Toby Keith, among many others.

Kline is a graduate of Economics from the University of Albany.
