Flicketz Launches FanScore - A Groundbreaking New Movie Ranking System

'FanScore' Utilizes Resources of OTX's Motion Picture Group to Provide Weekly Ranking System of Current Theatrical Releases

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Flicketz, a digital platform that brings the movie community together with access and insight, launched one of its premier products today - FanScore, a proprietary movie ranking system. FanScore has joined forces with OTX's Motion Picture Group, the global research and consulting firm's leading consumer motion picture research division, to develop this ranking system. Together, FanScore and OTX combine the influence of critics' reviews and the power of audience word-of-mouth to calculate a single super-charged definitive ranking of the best and most enjoyable movies playing in theaters nationwide. The announcement of FanScore was made by Flicketz's Co-Founders Joel Roodman and Jack Mansour.

Each film's FanScore rating is analyzed through a combination of moviegoer feedback, critics' reviews and key granular elements of that film's box office results. Armed with this potent combo ranking, consumers can use FanScore to help select movies, in addition to discovering films they may not be aware of or have otherwise considered. Additionally, movie marketers can tap the service to garner real and relevant data about their films which can translate to expanded or adjusted marketing efforts, either in the theatrical or subsequent windows of distribution such as home entertainment or VOD. Additionally, OTX will be polling moviegoers as part of their ongoing research efforts incorporating that data into FanScore.

After all scores have been tabulated, results will be published and distributed each Thursday through Flicketz.com. Flicketz will also post on its FanScore Facebook application where moviegoers are encouraged to rate movies and provide feedback to the films they have seen.
