In addition, Connie's debut album "Over The Rainbow" was the only independent label release (AAO Music/Reality Records) to recently be named as one of the initial 40 titles featured in technology and entertainment giant SanDisk's new SlotMusic(TM) format, a versatile, groundbreaking physical music format that enables consumers to instantly and easily enjoy music from their favorite artists.
The Connie Talbot branded SlotMusic(TM) bundle includes the SlotMusic(TM) MP3 player and a dozen of Connie's favorite songs on a 1GB microSD card. Retailing for $34.99 it's totally usable as a full-blown digital audio player that enables the purchaser to add other SlotMusic(TM) cards with different albums.
"It is with great excitement that we welcome Connie Talbot to the SlotMusic family," said Russ Eisenman, Senior Director of Branding for the SanDisk Audio/Video Group. "As Connie continues her amazing climb up the charts, her SlotMusic(TM) card offers her fans a new way to enjoy her beautiful music. With 1GB of free space, Connie can share her complete album on a tiny plug-and-play Micro SD card for her fans' mobile phones, computers and MP3 players. We are honored to be a part of this wonderful artist's debut release and look forward to being with her throughout her career."
Catapulting to sudden fame as a runner up on the 2007 season of Britain's Got Talent, Connie's US activities follow her international successes. Prior to her wonderfully received appearance on "Oprah's Search For The World's Smartest And Most Talented Kids" segment, Connie made her American television debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She has also made personal appearances or given interviews to AOL, USA Today, Voice of America Radio, Comcast Cable, the TV Guide Network, and QVC amongst others.
Major retailers also continue to embrace Talbot's breakout effort. "We are happy for F.Y.E. to be a part of the Connie Talbot story," states Barry Burmaster, Director of National Marketing for the chain, F.Y.E. "The album is selling briskly as a result of appearances on Oprah Winfrey and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. F.Y.E. has even created an exclusive displayer to place Connie's CD with our Webkinz product. We've received an enormous amount of support and we are positive this CD will be successful throughout the holiday season."
The album is filled with Connie's stirring interpretations of such classics as "I Will Always Love You," "Imagine," "My Favorite Things," and "What a Wonderful World."
