Sci Fi Thriller or A Glimpse Into Our Inevitable Future?

New Web Series, AFTER JUDGMENT, Explores A Post-Apocalyptic World, Where Viewers Are Directly Transported Into A "What If" Scenario

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- "AFTER JUDGMENT," (http://www.afterjudgment.com/) an original Sci Fi Web Series about a group of post-apocalyptic survivors searching for an elusive entry into paradise will premiere with a multi-site launch on October 8th, 2008. Touching on the uncertain times we now live in, "After Judgment" re-imagines a doomsday experience and gives a unique glimpse into our own potentially grim future. The web premiere marks the debut of the first season, already tapped with international broadcast distribution, handled by Toronto based OUAT Media.

Created by writer/ director Michael Davies, "After Judgment" stars an ensemble cast led by Joel Bryant (The Heartbreak Kid), Taryn O'Neill (Navy N.C.I.S.), Stephanie Thorpe (Ashes) and Tim Halling (60Frame's Cockpit). Bryant plays the lead role of Steven, the dark but charismatic ex-priest who leads the rag-tag band of strangers on their dangerous journey.

The first season of sixteen 4-minute episodes was independently financed and produced by Davies' Captain Films banner (http://www.captainfilms.com/) in association with Ultimatum Entertainment. In addition to the show's site, the series will be viewable on multiple video portals, including YouTube.

The "After Judgment" site is non-traditional. Davies, along with fellow producing partner and cast member, Taryn O'Neill, have created an "After Judgment" experience via http://www.beforejudgment.com/, a site which hosts 'recovered video footage' delving into the show's mythology and past lives of the characters. Additionally, a sister site, http://www.preventtheend.com/, will launch as a platform for fan involvement, relevant articles, and advertising opportunities.

A graduate of the VancouverFilmSchool, Davies has proven himself as a multi-genre director, with several award-winning features and shorts to his credit. But his first love is Sci Fi, best displayed by his most recent shorts, "Message: Received" and "Ashes," both having secured distribution with OUAT Media.
